LINK Initiative

The LINK initiative promotes partnership in research between industry and the research base, thereby stimulating innovation and wealth creation. LINK comprises a number of programmes in defined technology or market sectors. Programmes are sponsored by Government Departments and Research Councils; each programme focuses on a particular technology or market area and supports a number of collaborative projects involving partners from industry and the research base. LINK research, which is pre-competitive, covers a wide range of technology and generic product areas from food and bio-sciences, through engineering, to electronics and communications.
